For almost all of us, the events of 2020 have turned our lives upside down. While everyone’s personal challenges are different, and relative to their own situation, there’s no doubt that a grounding yoga practice can help you keep your head (as well as stand on it!) during these difficult times. Here at Hot Yoga Ibiza, we truly believe that whatever you’re feeling, yoga is the answer.
“I’m so bored,” we hear people saying in the streets of Ibiza, lamenting the loss of their formerly busy social lives. Come to practice! It will fill those hours you previously saved for dancing and socialising, and you might just make some new friends (and learn some new moves) in the process.
“I’m too stressed,” say those who are working hard to salvage their livelihoods or homes due to the crisis. If only we could show you a crystal ball to prove just how much practicing yoga can reduce anxiety and give you clarity – you’d be in the studio six days a week!
“It’s far too hot to exercise,” say the people cowering beneath a sunhat. Well, the good news is you can’t get any hotter, so now is the perfect time to acclimatise to a steamy, sweaty practice before the autumn creeps in. And you can always take a cold shower afterwards!
“I’m exhausted all the time,” is another phrase we’ve heard used as a reason to skip class. A regular yoga practice builds your strength – both mental and physical – and the more you practice, the more energised you will feel. It doesn’t happen overnight, but within a few short weeks you will notice a difference.
