It’s a matter of time
Please arrive on time to class
Physicists may argue that time is just an illusion, a concept made up by humans to differentiate the present from the past, but regardless of whether it’s fact, fiction or fantasy, there’s no denying that in today’s modern society we live our lives by the clock. Here at the Hot Yoga Ibiza studio, our timetable is balanced out across the day and night to accommodate the different lifestyles and time constraints of our students, but regardless of what class you attend, there’s one thing we ask of all our yogis – please arrive to class on time!
To clarify, being on time does not mean rushing into the studio at the time your class is due to commence. It means arriving with sufficient time to get changed (if needed), to ask any questions about the class or positions, to find your space within the studio and lay out your mat, to get settled and (if you are practicing Bikram) to allow your body to adjust to the temperature of the room. We suggest arriving approximately 15 minutes before the class is due to start to allow for all these things and to begin your practice in a mindful way.
We also understand that despite the best laid plans, sometimes life – or traffic, late appointments, overtime or children – gets in the way. If you find you are running late to class, please let us know, keeping in mind that we lock the studio doors once class has begun. If you do arrive with very little time to spare, please be quiet and respectful towards the other students when you enter the studio, as they may already be in concentration. See our class schedules here to help plan your week of practice. Namaste…
